Who this is for

01

Founders & CEOs

Speak about AI from genuine first-hand command. Once you've built with the tools yourself, your vision for where the company is heading carries real authority with your board, your investors, and your team.

02

C-suite & functional heads

Hold your own in any technical conversation. Having shipped with the tools yourself, you can engage your engineering team as a peer, make confident calls on tools and direction, and lead AI in your domain with credibility.

03

Board members & senior leaders

Bring real depth to the AI conversation. Ask sharper questions, judge which bets are worth backing, and ground the decisions in front of your board in genuine, hands-on understanding.

The transformation

Become the AI expert your board relies on.

Overview

Workshop overview

Claude Code 1:1 Executive Coaching is a full-day, private, over-the-shoulder workshop, shaped around your own work and the demands of your industry today.

It's built for the leader who needs a lasting AI strategy - and an expert guide to get them there.

The day runs on hands-on exercises, not slide decks, so the learning sticks. You leave with working AI agents, code, and workflows that do real work and compound over time.

By the end of the day you'll know when to reach for Claude Code, where it excels and where it falls short, and you'll have the hands-on experience to make long-term AI decisions for your company.

This is how you become the person your board, your peers, and your organisation turn to for the AI conversation: not by reading another report, but by having done the work yourself.

Process

How it works

STEP 01

Get in touch

A brief, confidential call about the work you want to put through AI - board papers, strategy memos, the analysis you would normally delegate. We confirm fit and find a date.

STEP 02

Set the agenda

Ahead of the day we agree the real material you will work on and get your environment ready, so the whole day is spent on your work rather than on setup.

STEP 03

Your coaching day

A full day, one-to-one, remote or at your office. You leave fluent on your own work - and able to speak about AI to your board and your peers with first-hand authority.

Schedule

What to expect on the day

AM

Start on real work

We begin with one of your own tasks - a document, a spreadsheet, a recurring process - and get Claude Code set up the way you will actually use it.

Build the core habits

Hands-on coaching on giving clear instructions, working step by step, and checking the result - calibrated to your work, not generic examples.

PM

Make it repeatable

We turn the parts you repeat into saved commands, set up the context Claude Code needs, and connect it to the files and tools you rely on.

Leave ready to lead

You finish with a personal workflow, the work produced on the day, and the standing to set the AI direction for everyone who reports to you.

Mark Nguyen, AI trainer

Your executive AI coach

Mark Nguyen

16 years building products at Microsoft, Amazon, Zynga, and Mediatonic - now coaching the leaders who set the AI direction for everyone else.

I work one-to-one with founders and executives on their own board papers, strategy memos, and the analysis they'd normally delegate - using the same tools your engineers do, at the same depth.

This is not a theory session. You do real executive work on the day and leave able to speak about AI with first-hand authority - to your board, your peers, and your team.

FAQ

Common questions

Why choose you as my AI coach? What makes you the right choice?

+

Because I'm a former senior software engineer at Microsoft and Amazon, where I was inside high-performing teams that shipped code to billions of people worldwide. That career had me pitching ideas and solutions to senior executives at Fortune 500 companies, and getting to know their hopes and ambitions first-hand. That's when it clicked: they trusted me because I knew how things worked - and could explain the complex simply. That's exactly what I bring to coaching you.

I can learn all of this on my own, through free online tutorials and YouTube.

+

Yes, you can - and I wish you a sincere good luck. But if that's your plan, you're unlikely to be a good fit for this programme. I work with executives who don't have unlimited evenings and weekends to stitch together free tutorials, and who know the difference between watching and doing, with an AI expert by their side. They're not paying for information - they're paying to compress years of trial and error into actionable strategy and walk out with the authority to lead their organisations to success.

Why not just delegate AI strategy to my engineering or product team?

+

Because strategy you can't evaluate isn't strategy you own. Your team can build, but the board looks to you for the direction - and you can't judge their recommendations, or set a course, on something you've never done yourself. Delegate the strategy and you've quietly outsourced your own judgement. A day doing the work first-hand is what lets you lead the conversation rather than be led through it. When you want your team equally capable, the Claude Code Intensive handles that.

How much of my day-to-day work can I realistically delegate to AI?

+

More than most people expect, but I'll be straight with you about where the line is. I've personally handed around 75% of my own manual to semi-creative work to AI - drafting, research, analysis, the repeatable production work. What stays with you is judgement, relationships, and the final call; part of the day is learning to tell the two apart, so you delegate the right things and keep hold of the rest.

AI moves so fast - will this still be relevant in a year?

+

The tools will change; what I teach won't. You're not memorising this month's features - you're learning to direct AI, judge what it gives you, and know where its limits are. That judgement holds whichever model or product ships next, and it's exactly what lets you stay current instead of starting over each time the landscape moves. The leaders who fall behind are the ones waiting for it to settle - it won't.

How do I measure the ROI on this?

+

Partly in the obvious way - the hours saved and the work you stop outsourcing - but that undersells it. The real return is judgement: you leave able to think strategically about AI and hold your own on the hard detail, so you carry credibility into the boardroom and understand the landscape well enough to decide rather than defer. That compounds across every AI call you make from here, which is harder to put on a spreadsheet and worth considerably more.

I work with sensitive material - how confidential is this?

+

The format is built for sensitive work. The session is private and runs on whatever you're willing to bring - real board papers and financials, or a stand-in if you'd rather keep them out of the room. I'll work under your NDA, and we settle exactly how and where your data is handled before we begin.

Is it remote or on-site?

+

Whichever suits you - privately over screen-share, or in person at your office, in the UK or internationally. The day is arranged around your calendar, and any travel is set out in the proposal.

Own AI as a leader, not a spectator

Leading AI takes more than a subscription and a briefing. It takes private, hands-on coaching on your own decisions and documents - so you can speak about it with first-hand authority, and judge the calls your teams bring you instead of taking them on trust.
